St. Mary’s English School was the result of the realization of the vision of the founders with deep faith, self-sacrificing love, integrity of character, hard work, patience, endurance, generous, forgiving spirit, committed to the God’s kingdom, who have dedicated most part of their life in making the school come true.

The school was initially housed in a rented building near Canara Bank, which made its modest beginning in 1989 with the strength of around 100 students from Kindergarten to Grade V. The aim was to meet the need for English education in the T.Narasipura town and nearby villages and the admission was open to all students, irrespective of caste, creed, and religious affiliation.

The school which was started as an English Medium Nursery and Primary School for both boys and girls was recognized as St. Mary’s Primary School in 1999 by the Department of Public Instructions, Government of Karnataka.

The school grew into a full-pledged recognized high school and the first batch of students appeared for SSLC Examination in 2001.

The main objective of the institution is to deliver quality education to all sections of society, keeping in mind the rural and underprivileged, giving them a fighting chance in today’s world. To prove that we have been succeeding in imparting sound knowledge, our students have established a track record of the state, district and taluk ranks over the years. The school maintained its reputation in the field of education with the outstanding results of 100% for many years in SSLC Examinations conducted by the Department of Public Instructions, Government of Karnataka, and the Taluk Toppers always remained to be our students. We have received Taluk Level Best School award from the Department of Public Instruction for the overall curricular and co-curricular activities conducted in the school and our school has been recognized for its maintenance of Cleanliness and Hygiene for the same, an appreciation Certificate was issued from the Town Municipality.

The school, with a well-deserved reputation for delivering high-quality educational programs for over 30 years,  feels pride in producing many civil servants, army personnel, doctors, engineers, and professionals in IT, ITES, banking sectors, etc. Some of our well-known Alumina is Mr. Santhosh. IAS, who is currently serving as a District Magistrate in the state of Telangana, Dr. Sugosh S ganjam,Dr. Ramya S, Dr. Shruthi G V, Dr. Sheethal S Ganjam , who are currently serving in Health Department, Karnataka are the few who have shared their work profile with the school.

To encourage and develop the innate talents of the students, the school has set up various curricular,  co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities.  Science exhibitions are being organized yearly to develop scientific temper among the students. Our students have participated in district and state-level competitions and won accolades for themselves and the institution.

We have a spacious and well equipped composite Science lab, where the science practical classes are conducted and We also have a modern Computer Lab, which is well maintained with all the modern multimedia technology. We have sufficient water with an RO facility to supply protected drinking water and our restrooms are well maintained with a proper supply of water. In-Cinerators and other modern technologies are used to keep good hygiene and sanitation.

To Keep pace with the changing trends in the modern system of teaching and learning and to provide a better learning atmosphere and we have associated and installed TATA Edge smart classes technology in our classrooms. We have also associated with Prodigy, a Canadian based Math learning software Company to make math learning more fun and interesting for the children.

In order to improve the efficiency of the staff and faculty of our school, we have partnered with IIEM. Regular online and offline sessions are conducted on various topics.

The continuous success of the school inspired the management, which is committed to innovation and sensitive to the changing needs of the society, to shift its school curriculum from the state board to the Central Board of Secondary Education,  New Delhi. Now the school is completely affiliated with CBSE.
