My hearty welcome to one and all. I would like to thank all for responding to our invitation and gracing the occasion.

I have great pleasure in presenting to you the annual day report 2018-19. This year has been a very eventful one for us. We have made great efforts to lay foundation to introduce ICSE / CBSE curriculum for the coming academic year 2019-20.We have been extremely successful in most of our endeavors. Apart from preparing the children to qualify for purely academic demands, special efforts are being made continuously to enable them to face the challenge of the competitive world. It’s a matter of great importance to us that the students who pass out from our institution should carry forward the values they have inherited, excel in whatever they do and be role models in the society.

Let me give you a brief history of our institution.

St. Mary’s was a dream of our founders Mr.Varkey Pailo and Mrs. Mariamma Varkey. It was realized and established in the year 1989. The school had an humble beginning with only  17 children .Today, we have 1399 students from Kindergarten to X std and 50 staff. This has all happened with the blessings of almighty and hard work and dedication of our founders of our institution.Mrs Mariamma Varkey with 40 years of long service in teaching in India and abroad came to T.Narasipura with a strong passion to serve the society in providing quality education. As the result, thousands of students have  benefited and now with more energy  continuing the same.

Academics

We are proud to report that continuing the legacy in education of St.Mary’s , 2017-18 batch X Std students also have brought laurels to the school by their excellent results. We are proud to announce that we attained  99.04% results in the board exam of March 2017. The topper of the school was Bharath.P who scored 96.96% and second place was Deepak.K with 96.80%. Among 104 students who appeared for the exams 48 students have scored first class with distinction and 35 students passed with first class. This was possible only because of the continuous efforts by the dedicated staff and by taking extra classes and other remedial measures to improve them.

Accountability to Learning:

All schools undergo a school development review to assess progress and plan steps for school development. In our school the review is conducted by our Chairman of St. Mary’s Education Trust , Mr Paul Ben who is very particular and conscious of students learning. He has the complete understanding of what kind of education should be given to the future generation. In order to achieve the same, he is completely dedicating his time and energy with deep sense of humility and gratitude I thank him for His able guidance which helped me to asses every area of scholastic and co-scholastic areas of learning. Teachers classes observed time to time and given necessary feedback to improve their pedagogical approach. We have maintained 91% Students attendance, 97% Students retention 93% Teachers attendance.

The student council

The student council is a body of elected members. In order to inculcate the values of leadership quality and to develop the spirit of democracy among students , we have created a student council. It plays an important role is being a mediator between the students and the management. It comprises of office bearers and discipline incharge and class representatives.

All the procedures of conduction of election held for Captain and Vice Captain. Accordingly Shashank Swaroop of X  and Deepak of IX Std were elected for those posts. House captains and other office bearers were nominated by the teachers.
